The Boathouse Wollongong is a coastal restaurant in Wollongong delivered with a full restaurant furniture package spanning indoor and outdoor dining zones. SISU Interiors required furniture that could withstand marine exposure while maintaining consistent detailing between exterior and interior areas. Outdoor seating needed durability against salt air and UV exposure. Internally, the brief called for solid timber elements, upholstered seating and varied table finishes to support flexible dining layouts. The scope included outdoor teak top dining tables and matching teak benches, custom outdoor weave top stools and outdoor wicker stools, plus wrought iron chairs specified for external conditions. Internally, solid ash timber dining tables and timber chairs were manufactured with clear commercial-grade finishes. Upholstered indoor bar stools and upholstered dining chairs were specified in commercial fabrics suited to hospitality traffic. Custom banquettes were built to plan dimensions, alongside marmorette table tops and custom Paris chairs to complete the dining mix. The completed restaurant furniture package provides consistent material performance across indoor and outdoor settings, supporting daily service while maintaining alignment with the designer’s layout and seating strategy.
