Sofitel hotel pool area in Sydney required outdoor furniture designed for continuous commercial use, including upholstered banquette seating, lounge settings and aluminium bar furniture. The brief called for a coordinated seating layout suited to a high-traffic hotel environment. Furniture needed to withstand UV exposure, moisture and regular cleaning while maintaining dimensional stability and upholstery integrity. As designer, B Seated Global documented the layout to align with poolside circulation zones and bar service requirements. The scope included a custom upholstered outdoor banquette with removable commercial-grade cushions, a custom outdoor sofa, and aluminium side tables fitted with composite stone tabletops. Commercial outdoor chairs and metal frame armchairs were fabricated in aluminium with powder-coated finishes suited to coastal conditions. Aluminium outdoor bar stools and bar tables were specified to match the seating profile and ensure consistent seat heights across dining and lounge zones. Materials were selected for corrosion resistance and low maintenance in a hotel setting. The completed installation delivers structured seating across the pool terrace, supporting bar service and guest turnover while meeting the durability demands of commercial hotel chairs and outdoor hospitality environments.
