Rydges is a hotel lobby project in Sydney, delivered as a comprehensive hotel furniture scope including banquette seating, armchairs and coffee tables tailored to the public lounge areas. The brief required furniture capable of handling continuous guest traffic, informal meetings and extended dwell times. Seating needed to provide defined zones within an open-plan lobby while maintaining circulation paths and compliance with commercial access requirements. Material selection focused on durability, cleanability and long-term performance under hospitality conditions. The supplied hotel furniture included upholstered banquette seating with high-density commercial foam and heavy-duty fabric upholstery, leather armchairs, upholstered armchairs and ottomans configured for flexible lounge arrangements. Custom coffee tables were manufactured in solid American ash timber with clear commercial-grade finishes, alongside tiled table tops designed for surface durability. Additional commercial hotel chairs were specified to integrate with the lounge seating layout and support operational flexibility. The completed installation provides structured seating clusters across the lobby, supporting guest waiting, casual meetings and bar service. The furniture contributes to a cohesive front-of-house environment built for sustained commercial use.
