Georges River Sailing Club is a waterfront sailing club in Sandringham fitted out with restaurant furniture across dining, bar and outdoor zones, including custom upholstered banquettes, laminate restaurant tables and commercial sofas. Loucas Architects specified durable, low-maintenance furniture to support high patron turnover, live sport trade and exposure to coastal conditions. The brief required consistent detailing across indoor dining, sports bar seating and outdoor areas, with materials suited to heavy commercial use and salt air. The scope included commercial sofas upholstered in heavy-duty commercial-grade fabric, custom upholstered dining chairs and sports bar chairs built with reinforced hardwood frames and high-resilience foam. Custom upholstered banquettes were constructed to site-specific dimensions for efficient space planning. Restaurant tables were fitted with laminate custom table tops for impact resistance and ease of cleaning. Powder coated aluminium day bars and outdoor rope stools were supplied for external zones, along with a custom upholstered bar stool to match interior finishes. The completed fit-out delivers coordinated restaurant furniture that performs across food service, bar trade and event functions, while meeting the operational demands of a busy sailing club environment.
