The 2K polyurethane coat is a two-component finish that cures harder than single-pack alternatives, protecting the timber surface from humidity, cleaning chemicals and the incidental knocks common in dining environments. Upholstery is a leather-look PU over high-density PU foam across the seat, back and arms. PU leather-look performs where genuine leather would suffer from spill saturation and cleaning frequency. It wipes clean, holds its surface tension under repeated use and does not absorb moisture at the seam lines. High-density PU foam underneath maintains seat shape across multiple sittings per day without the progressive compression that mid-density foams show within the first year of commercial service. The tight upholstery pull and vertical back seam stitching are not decorative choices in isolation; they reduce stress concentration at the cover edges, which is where PU upholstery typically fails first.
The four tapered square-section legs sit near the four corners with a slight outward splay, distributing load away from the seat rail junction and widening the effective base.
