To put it simply, a dry bar table is a bar table that is 110 cm compared to a standard commercial table which is 75-76 cm high.
Dry bar tables are not limited to a standard looking bar table. Here at B Seated, your dry bar tables can be customised in a variety of different makes, styles and, designs, from an intimate round table for two through to larger square tables which accompany sitting or standing. Our tables are designed to be placed in tight corners and awkward spaces where a normal table cannot usually fit.
Recently, dry bar tables have started to become popular because they can be used in a variety of different environments. They are often heat proof, scratch resistant, don’t fade easily or crack. These are popular in fast paced environments because they are very portable and can be moved around to accommodate your traffic. Importantly, dry bar tables are strong and durable which outlasts many other tables.
Different types of bar tables
When looking for a bar table, you will need to consider the type and form you are after. In order to accommodate for your customers you need to think about the type you are after. Are you after a one that people can stand and place drinks and food on? Or perhaps a small round bar table that allows people to sit and chat? These can range from a rustic, outdoor bar table to a traditional, indoor modern bar table.
Rustic style bar tables have recently become popular as more and more people find that the unique and individual designs of custom timber pieces add creativity to their venue. Our range of recycled, natural timber bar tables blends beautifully with our contemporary bar stools. A popular choice is our Rustic Chunk Bar Table, which can be customised with multiple finishes to suit your style.
If you are after a modern bar table for your venue, then our Chunk Round Dry Bar Table is a great option as this table top is customisable. This allows you to to pick and match a finish that complements the theme of your venue. Some B Seated projects that feature modern bar tables are Gregory Hills Hotel and The Bayview Hotel.
Where will these be used?
When looking for indoor bar tables, you will need a table that sparks curiosity and sophistication but also combines form and functionality. We recommend our popular Solid Marble Table Top, as this doubles as a workstation for your customers, or our Bayview Table Top if you are looking for a table that can be used for cafes and restaurants. B Seated projects that have used indoor bar tables include Cod’s Gift and Collins Square.
Outdoor bar tables need to be weatherproof and durable. The last thing you want is a one that becomes damaged in the heat or falls apart in the rain. Non-slatted and solid timber table tops will split outdoors, we strongly recommend our Slatted Timber Table Tops for outdoor use. As mentioned in our last blog post, these are extremely versatile and can be used in multiple environments.
Height of Bar Tables
The most common height for a dry bar table is 110 cm. This height has been determined to be the most ergonomic and the optimal height for a table that services both a seated and standing user.
This height works well when a person is standing on one side and another sitting on the other. For example, a bartender preparing drinks whilst on his feet and the customer enjoys the drinks while on a seat. These can double as a place for people to lean on while they wait for the rest of their party to arrive.
Whether you stand or B Seated, you’ll need the perfect bar table!
